Heres the problem .... Older 386Dx25 (Yeah I know) Generic IDE card w/ i/o (Com1 com2 lpt1) blag blah Generic 14.4 Modem internal Serial mouse.. Windows 3.1 Ok when I turn the system on with the mouse in (with windows mouse driver) and the modem OUT of the sysytem. It works just dandy.. Pull the mouse and dont load the driver, put modem in ....it works fine! put both in togeter ... no good! ..... Now the modem is on com2: and the mouse is on com1: (that is the only com port the mouse can go into) It does not work under dos nor windows.. I have pulled my hair trying this one.. The Irq's appear to be fine.. 3f8 2f8 .... msd says everthing is cool... Comcfg says that the ports are cool also.. I tried switching the mode to com3 and com4 ... still no good... Ive tried all kinda mouse drivers ... no good... The AMI bios ...gives me problems when I run the diagnostic it just times out on com2: (Dont hold me to this it also thros some other stuff I don not understand) I think they might just be pin connection But any how.... Do I need a new IdeI/O card for this thing.. or what? I can not think of another thing.... Please help If you can, This is just my work machine and I do really want to get it to run right with everthing.... Or a software package I can get here on the net that might help me out!
